Competition: Can You Build a Better Burger?
18/11/14 15:26 Filed in: Competitions
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat and we are all obsessing about one very special meal…Christmas dinner!
It’s the same every year. Whether it’s sourcing the perfect turkey, paining over how to encourage the kids (and grown-ups) to eat the mountain of sprouts you’ve prepared or ensuring the crispiest roasties, the big festive feast presents myriad challenges.
So, why not make a change from the same old this year and serve up something a little different during the holiday season, something everyone loves…a delicious burger?
Here at Rangecookers, we love the humble burger. So simple and versatile, there is a combination for everyone; from the classic beef burger in a shiny brioche bun to a tasty veggie-friendly mushroom burger.
Unlike the strict timings and balancing act required to create the perfect turkey and all the trimmings, there are minimal rules when it comes to burgers. They are the ultimate foodie way to express your personality and indulge in your favourite flavours.
That’s why we’re launching a competition* to find the UK’s best festive burger idea. Whether it’s a trendy twist on traditional Christmas dinner ingredients, or a burger so unique and indulgent it could only be served on Christmas day, we want to hear about it.
You can enter a burger you’ve found at your favourite restaurant or one you’ve made at home, simply share a picture of your burger with us on Facebook or Twitter, along with a short description of the ingredients and #ShowUsYourBuns
The creator of our favourite festive burger will be awarded with a £50 voucher for the burger restaurant of their choice.
For a little inspiration, why not feast your eyes on our very own creation; the “Christmas in a Bun” burger?
Two juicy turkey patties, seasoned with sage and onion, topped with a grilled chipolata, oozing, melting brie and lashings of cranberry sauce, all combined in a fresh, seeded bun.
We’ll also be gathering more tasty burger ideas on Pinterest, so be sure to follow our Festive burger board for even more inspiration.
Gosh, our tummies are rumbling now – we can’t wait to hear your ideas!
Competition closes on Sunday 31st November 2014 at 23:59pm.
